Content
Exploring the intricate interplay between climate dynamics, air quality and public health in Latin America and the Caribbean, this panel will discuss the latest research findings, policy frameworks and community engagement strategies, shedding light on how climatic factors influence air quality levels, and the subsequent health outcomes across the region. Through a multidisciplinary lens and a multi-actor perspective, the discussion will examine the disproportionate realities of air quality across and within countries and communities, highlighting the role of organizations like the NIH and other stakeholders in advancing scientific understanding and promoting evidence-based solutions that address the pressing challenges of the climate crisis. From data analysis to policy strategies, the panel will foster dialogue and collaboration among researchers, policymakers, stakeholders, and public health practitioners and explore targeted interventions, innovative approaches and actionable solutions to safeguard population health and promote environmental sustainability.
